The Derby Jacket was a Fashion icon from San Francisco in the 60's, 70’s and 80’s. Derby of San Francisco made several jackets in this time but there is the one cut that stands out “The Original” is a cut which has transformed worldwide to be recognized simply as a “Derby Jacket.”

Arms are short. Torso long and full. I think these probably fit a different body type than mine. I’m glad I got the XL. Otherwise, the arms would’ve been way too short. First got these jackets in junior high 50+ years later I wanted another one great quality, and I have been enjoying it.

Derby, a SF jacket with a Legacy in so many ways.

I am so happy that you have decided to continue to produce the Derby. The Derby is a SF Legacy jacket. This is especially true for me as my Mother was the sample maker for the Derby. As a young person growing up, Derby was a constant name in our household, and going to the original factor on 2nd and Bryant, as a young person and seeing the original Derbys being made was fascinating. It was hard work, but the Derby became a brand name and SF and I am happy to say that I still can get Derbys. Thank you for continuing this wonderful legacy. My Mother would be proud to know that something she help create is still going strong, being made with the same quality as the original jacket. I know many people enjoy wearing the Derby jacket.
